PR Direct - The Press Specialist

Headed up by former journalist Sarah Selzer, PR Direct was established 16 years ago and focused initially on the homewares market, which was Sarah’s background (she started working on trade magazines in 1990 and eventually became editor of a homewares title).

During that time, the focus has shifted to include different industries ranging from the arts and book publishing to artificial sports surfaces and hardware distribution. Also, trade associations as well as individual companies.

PR Direct has built up a fantastic and very personal database of media contacts across newspapers, magazines, TV production companies, blogs and online magazines – and covering consumer issues, media, publishing, business, finance, homes & interiors and health. PRD has an extensive network, often with several contacts working across the same title. This network is supplemented with regular press contact, including visits to the publishing houses themselves, participating in consumer press shows, and subscribing to several features databases. PRD also works with social media including Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn and YouTube..

Sarah has been joined as a director by Mark Chapman who has 17 years in management, sales & marketing and music production. They both have a personal input into all PR Direct’s client work and they are able to bring in talented PR freelancers depending on the project – an approach which brings success time after time.
